TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEMS FOR OFFSHORE FACILITIES – REACH INTEGRATED AWARDED TELECOM SYSTEMS FOR NEW TEMBIKAI NON-ASSOCIATED GAS (TNAG) FIELD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Tembikai field under the Tembikai-Chenang Cluster small field Risk Service Contract (RSC) is located approximately 150 kilometres offshore Terengganu, Peninsular Malaysia. The field, which lies in water depth of approximately 230 feet (70 meters), is being developed and operated by VESTIGO Petroleum Sdn Bhd, a company established in 2013 and wholly-owned by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, the upstream arm of the Malaysian national oil company PETRONAS. The Tembikai-Chenang Cluster is the fourth RSC that has been brought into production, after the Kapal-Banang-Meranti (KBM) Cluster, Balai Cluster and Berantai RSCs. Tembikai is the first small field RSC that has been successfully executed by a PETRONAS Carigali’s wholly-owned subsidiary, VESTIGO.

In October 2018, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad (MHB) was awarded the work order for Tembikai Non-Associated Gas facilities by VESTIGO. In turn and through MHB’s 100% wholly owned subsidiary Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMHE) has today awarded Reach Integrated with the task of “Design, Supply, Assemble & Local Test, Delivery, Pre-Commission and Offshore Commissioning” of the required Telecommunication System Equipment for the new Tembikai Wellhead Platform (TNAG WHP).

For the record, MHB is a leading and trusted marine and heavy engineering solutions provider for a wide range of offshore & onshore facilities and vessels covering activities in deepwater, fixed platforms, conversion, marine repair, process modules and other services.
