06 May High Speed Leased Line for Internet Access – Petrofac Appoints Reach Integrated for Deployment of Dedicated & High Speed Leased Line for Its Internet Access
In 2004, Petrofac Developments acquired a 30% working interest in Block PM304, and assumed operatorship of the Cendor field development. Petrofac’s partners in the Production Sharing Contract include Petronas Carigali, Kufpec and PetroVietnam. The Cendor field, discovered in the 1970’s and classified as marginal due to its complex geological structure. The Cendor field is located in the northeast corner of Block PM304 in about 70 metres of water with principal producing horizons in the H Group of Middle Miocene sands. (Source – Media Releases)
Petrofac has several offices / establishments for the implementation of Phase Two or Phase II of this Cendor field development initiative. These locations are namely situated at:-
a. TOWER 2 of the prestigious PETRONAS Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC);
b. the HLA TOWER of Jalan Pinang, Kuala Lumpur; and
c. Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering (MMHE) Sdn Bhd’s fabrication facilities at Pasir Gudang, Johor.
Reach Integrated’s scope of work is to provide, implement, monitor and manage two (2) High Speed & Dedicated Leased Lines:-
a. between TOWER 2, KLCC and HLA TOWER ~ 5Mps dedicated bandwidth; and
b. between TOWER 2, KLCC and MMHE ~ 10Mps dedicated bandwidth.
The contract duration for the above is expected to last at least 18 months from the date of commencement.
