Reach Integrated, upon requested by Siemens Malaysia Sdn Bhd had established a comprehensive Site Survey Reporting Template for the Propose 3G Network Deployment Project in Malaysia. This Site Survey Reporting Template encompasses a complete scope of investigations of existing site physical conditions, assessments of existing facilities & equipment supports, data recording of the abovementioned as well as recommendations for the upgrading works involved in the Civil & Structural (C&S), Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and Installation Engineering (IE) disciplines for the Proposed 3G Network Deployment Project in Malaysia. Generally, the Reporting Template can be segregated into 2 (two) main sections, namely:-
A. Assessment of All Existing Infrastructures, Facilities and Operating Equipments. The typical scopes of works incorporated into the Site Assessment portion of the Site Survey Reporting Template include:-
a. Recording Site Data & Location Map of Existing Cell Site.
b. Surveying Existing Equipment / Shelter / Baseframe Configuration.
c. Surveying Existing Main / Backup Power Supply Configuration.
d. Surveying Existing Transmission / Microwave Configuration.
e. Surveying Existing Antenna Support Structure Configuration.
f. Surveying Existing Antenna & Feeder Configuration.
g. Surveying Existing Vertical / Horizontal Gantry Configuration.
h. Surveying Existing Temperature Control System.
i. Surveying Existing AC & DC Load Condition.
j. Surveying Existing Air Condition Cooling Capacity.
B. Recommendations for Upgrading Works where necessary for the 3G Network Deployment. The typical scopes of works incorporated into the Upgrade Recommendations portion of the Site Survey Reporting Template include:-
a. Survey Recommendation – Equipment / Shelter / Baseframe Configuration.
b. Survey Recommendation – Main / Backup Power Supply Configuration.
c. Survey Recommendation – Antenna Support Structure Configuration.
d. Survey Recommendation – Antenna & Feeder Configuration.
e. Survey Recommendation – Vertical / Horizontal Gantry Configuration.
f. Survey Recommendation – Temperature Control System.
g. Survey Recommendation – Grounding System For New Equipment + Antenna + Feeder + CME Works.
With the introduction of 2 (two) new 3G licensees in the country, the subscription and usage of the 3G contents is expected and poised grow tremendously in the near future due to increased competitions amongst the operators and affordability through costs reduction. Through this exercise, both Siemens & Reach Integrated have demonstrated their respective technical readiness and competency to embark on future 3G Network Development Rollout & Expansion Programs.
