24 Aug SAFETY, SECURITY & SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS FOR OFFSHORE FACILITIES – REACH INTEGRATED AWARDED IP CCTV SYSTEM FOR SHELL’S E8 MINI COMPRESSION PROJECT
Sarawak Shell Berhad is the operator of the E8 Field off the coast of Sarawak under one of the Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) with PETRONAS. E8 is a component of the E11 Hub Integrated Gas Project. Under this project, gas from surrounding fields goes to the E11 Offshore Complex for processing before being piped ashore to the PETRONAS LNG complex at Bintulu, Sarawak.
E8 reservoir consists of 2 carbonate pinnacles (North Pinnacle and South Pinnacle) which are hardly connected. Reservoir properties of the North Pinnacle are much poorer than those of the South Pinnacle, resulting in much lower productivity of wells E8-102, E8-104 and E8-106. It was proposed to connect the North Pinnacle wells to a mini compression system in order to reduce the wells backpressure and result in proportional increase in offtake.
A completely new Explosion Proof CCTV System is required to be installed at the E8DR-A Offshore Platform for process monitoring purposes. Reach Integrated had been selected to design, supply, install & commission new explosion proof IP CCTV Cameras complete with back-end components to enable control, monitoring, storage & playback features at both E8DR-A Riser Platform and manned E11 Offshore Complex.
